NJ Dawah Conference 2013
In Pursuit of Knowledge
Taking place on the weekend of June 22, the NJ Dawah Conference 2013 brought a line-up of knowledgeable, passionate, and dynamic speakers with the goal of providing the basic essentials necessary to better practice your religion. From topics such as inward and outward purification, perfecting your prayer, etiquette of making supplication, and learning more about your Creator, NJ Dawah was designed to help you increase your knowledge of Islam and put what you learn into practice.
In addition to presenting topics and seminars, the NJ Dawah Conference also embarked on social issues that impact Muslims living in the west such as improving our family lives, raising children in a challenging society, preserving our identity, and how to succeed as an Ummah in the west. We hope that this conference was a life changing experience for all who attended and was a means for us to come closer to our Lord.

Letter from the President
First and foremost, we want thank Allah (swt) and praise Him for bringing us all together this weekend; for allowing us to hold this conference this weekend pursuing knowledge with the aim of seeking Allah’s pleasure. Alhamdolillahi rabil ‘alameen
I’d also like to thank each and every speaker for taking time out of their busy schedules and coming to the NJ Dawah conference. We pray that Allah (swt) rewards the efforts all of our special guests. And we ask Allah (swt) to bless them and their families.
I would also like to thank all the vendors and all the various institutions and organizations who came here this weekend and supported NJ Dawah.
So we came together this weekend in the Pursuit of Knowledge. Not only did we learn facets of our deen we may not have previously known, but we were also able to dig a little deeper on some topics in which we already had some knowledge. We were able to enlightened by being exposed to sound Islamic knowledge through our various speakers with the will of Allah. Alhamdolillah we were able to immerse ourselves in a beneficial weekend filled with knowledge, filled with new ideas; new people you were able to meet; and filled with that brotherhood or sisterhood you were able to experience.
It is our hope that you take whatever you have learned even if it was a single verse or a single hadeeth; you take that knowledge and you build upon it. You continue to learn and you continue to grow. And we hope this has inspired you to bring Islam into your everyday life. Subhanallah we make time for everything nowadays; let’s all make that intention right now to make time to learn the religion of Allah and incorporate that into our everyday lives. We pray that the knowledge we learn and what we will implement from that knowledge will be our salvation on the Day of Judgment. We ask Allah swt to accept from us all.
I want to thank the organizers and volunteers responsible for putting this conference together and last but not least I would like to thank you, the attendees of this conference. We ask Allah (swt) to reward you and to accept all your efforts.
Subhaanaka Allaahumma wa bihamdika, ‘ash-hadu ‘an laa ‘ilaaha ‘illaa ‘Anta, ‘astaghfiruka wa ‘atoobu ‘ilayka.
NJ Dawah, President
